Founded in 1994, Radix primary focus was to create custom software solutions for manufacturing customers. The core technology team was staffed by experienced software developers, engineers and networking specialists and in 1999, Radix was recognized by Microsoft Corporation as one of the Top 75 Fastest Growing Independent Software Vendors in North America. In 2007 Radix was recognized as one of Canada top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in Canada by Profit Magazine.
Radix is staffed with mechanical and electrical engineers, build team, controls, vision, and software developers creating advanced technology solutions combining automation, robotics, vision systems in a wide range of industrial applications. In the fall of 2012, Radix was featured on CBC television’s business reality show “The Big Decision”, which teamed them up with superstar angel investor Jim Treliving and kickstarted them down a path of transformation.
AIS’s acquisition of Radix in May 2016 combines each companies strength to focus on manufacturing excellence and global growth. AIS’s Automation Division provides automation equipment for Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers, as well as other industries including food processing, packaging, heavy equipment, and recreational vehicles, plus aerospace, agri-business, pharmaceutical and healthcare. AIS is a full service, global solution provider, with in-house capabilities that include engineering, component manufacturing, assembly, PLC and robotic programming, as well as installation. The Automation Division operates out of the company’s 35,000 square foot Pulleyblank facility in Windsor, Ontario in addition to our 35,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
