in manual fastening processes. It does this by combining machine vision & sophisticated software to track targets in real time. The ToolTracker target can be mounted on any hand tool, assembly equipment or parts pallet.
The simple to navigate user interface is part of a well-crafted software application that is supplied as part of a kit and can be deployed in less than a day. ToolTracker has the ability to be used as a stand-alone error proofing tool or interface with most industrial protocols like Ethernet IP or Profinet.
Validated as “production ready” by Ford Motor Company, ToolTracker has provided cost savings, improved error proofing and complete traceability & assembly verification since 2008.
A Vision-Based Software Product Which Connects Inspection Data With A "Virtual Twin"
Inspect Tracker is an integrated, vision-based system to automatically record and map defects during part inspection using a simple, handheld pointer. Voice commands are used to identify defect type, which is translated to a completely digital record of inspection data.
Support for Industry 4.0 with digitization of data for manufacturers was the impetus behind the development of Inspect Tracker. In particular, the requirements for detailed inspection procedures for complex part surfaces, currently hand inspected in florescent penetrate inspection, or FPI booths was an opportunity for digitization that Inspect Tracker was designed for.
